Dear Reader,
It is ironic that LifeCity completed our first thorough plan for the 2020 work year just weeks shy of a pandemic. As nimble entrepreneurs, we try to stay flexible - but this has stretched our minds in unimaginable circumstances.
Certainly, our new reality seems impossible. And yet, here we are. Following the immediate response to stay home, to stay safe, and to support those fighting for the lives of our loved ones and those in need, we ask ourselves, “What next?”
What opportunities lie before us in the midst of this troubling time? What insights may we gain during this global retreat? What has COVID-19 revealed to us about our economy, our community, and our environment?
For me, it has only strengthened my conviction that a new economic system is possible - one founded on principles of equity, sustainability, and our interconnected reality. In fact, our Love Your City Awards Ceremony revealed that it is actually already happening (check out this video to get inspired).
