Stop Racial Inequality
No Words. Just Action.
LifeCity's internal operations will:
Increase our DBE annual procurement goal to 60%.
Include anti-racism training and donating to organizations fighting to end systematic racism as a line item in our annual budget.
Include awareness of racism and climate change as an agenda item in ALL of our meetings, so that these important issues are always at the forefront of our minds.
Continue to operate in an inclusive way, through inclusive hiring and management practices that grow a diverse team.
Monitor white supremacy culture in our organization at our regular team meetings.
LifeCity's services will:
Continue to provide a FREE assessment that any organization can take to learn how to improve their impact on the community, including how to implement anti-racist, inclusive policies and practices.
Create a free DBE subscription package that includes all benefits offered to Premium Subscribers on the Love Your City Platform.
Continue to provide training and educational opportunities to help organizations end racism (check out this Resource Guide from the Regional Sustainability Committee and this recent webinar we hosted about racism in the Pandemic).
Through the Love Your City Initiative, develop a policy platform that local leaders can use to rebuild an economy that is JUST and SUSTAINABLE right here in New Orleans. Want to contribute to the platform, please do so here.
Recognize organizations fighting for and leading with inclusive, just policies and actions at our Annual Love Your City Awards.
We know this is just a start. Please let us know if you feel there is anything else we can do.
