Support the Groundwork New Orleans Team
On October 6th, 2021, two Groundwork New Orleans Crew members were murdered, and two were grievously wounded in a mass shooting while working on a green infrastructure project at the New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Derrick Copelin, 25, and Zernell Lee, 19, were talented, hard-working young men, growing into leaders in their chosen field of urban water management and construction.

Son of a Saint , the nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring mentorship and transforming the lives of New Orleans’ fatherless boys, invites its mentors and volunteers to a happy hour. The event is open to current mentors and volunteers who give their time, energy, and resources to Son of a Saint. The Son of a Saint Mentor + Volunteer Happy Hour will be held on the first Tuesday of each month. This event will allow mentors and volunteers to engage with one another as well as the staff.
