MULTIMEDIA MARKETING MANAGER

PURPOSE
The Multimedia Marketing Manager is responsible for social media coordination, video production, asset development (graphics / copy / photos / web) and general marketing strategies for LifeCity. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in marketing and communications, video production, customer service, and graphic design and have the ability to produce exciting content that drives engagement with the brand and uplifts the impact of our clients.

LOCATION
Job can be conducted from anywhere but with preference to candidates who live in New Orleans (where our video equipment is stored). 

JOB TYPE - Salaried
Estimated: 40 hours/week

RATE OF PAY & BENEFITS

  • Starting salary at $50-$57K, commensurate with experience to start.

  • Benefits:

    • $150 towards Health Insurance costs monthly

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and Manage LifeCity’s Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and manage LifeCity’s digital marketing strategy including social media, website, newsletter communications, and online advertising for the Love Your City and LifeCity brands. This includes, but is not limited to the following and will be supported by social media contractors and the entire LifeCity team (to assist with content creation, ideation, and more):

    • Develop digital marketing goals and strategies based upon each of our services areas;

    • Manage LifeCity’s website, updating content, events, and blogs regularly;

    • Maintain supporter contact database and produce newsletters for both Love Your City and LifeCity brands;

    • Manage social media campaigns including content production, public engagement, and statistics tracking;

    • Review and copy-edit online and offline marketing content, ensuring it aligns with brand & business goals;

    • Partner with our team to ideate and produce engaging, innovative content to use across all marketing platforms such as podcasts, video series, etc.;

  • Align our digital marketing strategy with other marketing strategies such as events, outreach, conferences, and more.

2. Produce Impact Videos & Reports

  • Produce impact videos for our clients as needed. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

    • Review client goals and key impact objectives with LifeCity’s Impact Analyst and CEO;

    • Plan key video shots and source props/products as needed;

    • Attend impact assessments and film interviews with our Impact Analyst;

    • Edit and produce videos, including all graphics and animations to share a compelling impact narrative.

  • Design and finalize impact reports written by the Impact Analyst to ensure they are designed to meet the needs of our client, including:

    • Report design;

    • Graphic design as needed for key charts, figures, or other images needed.

  • Produce LifeCity’s Annual impact report and impact videos as necessary for the Love Your City Awards and other events, workshops, etc.;

  • Manage video and report production timelines to meet deadlines and deliverables.

3. Support Strategic Development

  • Support LifeCity in developing and growing our software platform

  • Participate in strategic long-term decisions for the company

  • Participate in trouble-shooting and brainstorming solutions with the team as they arise

  • Support the team as needed

4. Grow Professionally

  • Set internal professional goals

  • Participate in at least 1 professional growth and development activity per year, coordinated with company leadership

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

  • Exemplary writing, editing, and video production skills;

  • Demonstrated experience with design, photography and video editing programs (Adobe Suite: Premier, Photoshop, Illustrator);

  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, communication, and time management skills including being conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments and tight deadlines, and achieving results;

  • Commitment to economic, environmental, race and gender justice essential;

  • Passion for building a more equitable and sustainable economy.

Preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in multimedia production with a track record of developing sophisticated, strategic approaches to digital and social media outreach;

  • Ability to frame ideas, develop stories and synthesize complex sustainability / equity / impact issues in a creative way that appeals to a wide variety of audiences through video and graphic design;

  • Experience discerning between file qualities and managing a range of media – keeping projects organized, shareable with colleagues, and optimizing for a variety of platforms;

  • Proven track record for communicating brand with consistency through content;

  • Experience in motion graphics design and animation experience;

  • Experience producing audio content or podcasts;

  • Knowledge of and the ability to implement SEO tactics;

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision; excellent judgment, tact and discretion;

  • Elevated creative eye & aesthetic with skills in photo, video & design.
