Ready or not Carnival time is here which can be quite the challenge when it comes to home organization! As we roll into another parade season you may be still dealing with the clutter of Mardi Gras’ past wondering “what am I supposed to do with all these throws?”

Trash, Treasure or Somethin’ in Between?

Mardi Gras, Tucks

1. If you ride then it’s best to save throws & your money for the following year. Store them in the attic, garage, shed, etc.

2. Coveted throws are treasure, display your prized possessions at least once a year! My Muses shoe & Zulu coconuts stay out year round!

3. Donate beads to friends that ride, artists (including broken strands) or put them curbside & watch your clutter disappear to a good home.

4. Recycle all throws with Arc of Greater New Orleans, look for the the purple & gold bins around town or click here to find the drop off location nearest to you.

Follow tips 1-4 & you may be surprised to discover very little trash!
