If hunger in the US makes no sense, then it makes even less sense in New Orleans, a city famously known for its love of food and life.
Food Rescue US is looking to make strides in the Crescent City where not only 22.2% of adults are food insecure, but an alarming rate of 23.1% of children are classified as food insecure as well. That’s almost a quarter of the population!
With a wealth of restaurants, markets, bakeries, and an especially large farming community, Food Rescue US plans to spring into action with their volunteer-driven technological approach to solving food insecurity in the Big Easy.
Here in New Orleans, we unite for food, family, Mardi Gras, and most importantly Saints football. Come together with Food Rescue US and HELP US END HUNGER in New Orleans!
