On July 24th LifeCity, in conjunction with its local and regional partners, will be launching the E3 program for Louisiana. Standing for Energy, Economy, Environment, E3 is a technical assistance framework helping communities, manufacturers, and manufacturing supply chains adapt and thrive in today’s green economy. Already implemented in 26 states E3 has helped to strengthen and grow local manufacturing in the US by helping businesses to eliminate waste, maximize production, and grow their business.
Started in 2009, as of December 2013 E3 had created over 323 jobs and retain over 2,283 jobs while helping to identify over 485,928 metric tons of potential emissions reductions.
Manufacturers with under 500 employees are eligible for the program, and will receive assessments and recommendations in the areas of energy and water, business excellence, process and production efficiency, and worker health and safety.
The Lunch and Learn will be an opportunity for manufacturers, service providers, economic developers, and community members to ask questions and learn more about the program.
The event will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on July 24th in the 5th floor conference room of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, 1515 Poydras St. If you have a business owner or manufacturer who could benefit from the E3 program please join us by RSVPing at the chamber’s website.
Manufacturers who are interested in the program can attend at no cost. Please RSVP using this form. RSVP Deadline is Wednesday, 5pm, July 23rd.
