Organizations control the number of paid or non-paid vacation days given to employees, generally the equivalent of 2 weeks in the United States. If employees do not receive paid vacation days, they are unlikely to take time off leading to over worked, unhappy staff.
Why this Matters
For My Organization
Vacation days contribute to this higher morale, and keep the workforce happy and not over-worked. Quality and efficiency can be reduced if employees do not have personal time to manage their lives.
For New Orleans
New Orleans is more socially and economically healthy when its citizens are happier and able to take personal time to manage their lives.
