Passive Solar Lighting

Passive solar lighting is the use of natural light to supplement or replace electric lighting. It can be harnessed using simple techniques like drawing open curtains.  Ideally, passive solar principles should be incorporated into the design of buildings to maximize natural light through south-facing windows, skylights, and other design features.
