Date/Time: August 25, 2012 at 4:00-5:00pm Cost: $10 Location: Our Kids’ Village, 4235 Tulane Avenue When we say someone has a “green thumb,” we mean they know quite a lot about taking care of plants. This workshop introduces basic plant needs and helps students answer the question, How do we take care of plants? This workshop is designed for children in pre-school thru 5th grade. Boating in City Park Thursday-Sunday 10am-5pm First come first serve; no reservations $15 per boat per hour There are few more enjoyable ways to enjoy a great urban park like New Orleans City Park than lazily floating along, keeping company with ducks, geese and swans for a half-hour of pedaling. The boats are available on a first come first serve basis. Pedal boats seat 4; Row boats seat 3. No reservations are taken. You must present a valid driver's license or state ID and be a minimum of 17 years old to rent a boat. Life preservers must be worn at all times. The pedal boat dock is located at Big Lake off Friedrichs Avenue.
