Earth Day at the New Orleans Botanical Garden promises to be a great event! Celebrate the earth and learn how we can build a healthier relationship with our natural spaces. The event will vendors with exhibitors, children’s activities, cooking demonstrations, and of course delicious food.. The event will take place along Victory Avenue on the plaza in front of the Oscar J. Tolmas Center (5 Victory Avenue).
This celebration promises:

Local businesses and non-profit organizations that contribute to an environmentally-conscience way of life will have booths and will welcome questions from visitors. Whether it is growing food, food preservation, solar energy, natural products, composting, or permaculture, Earth Day will have resources to teach you.
– Native plant sale by the New Orleans City Park Pelican Greenhouse
-Activities and crafts for kids
-Live acoustic music by The Necessary Gentleman
Delgado School of Culinary Arts will perform cooking demos using local and organic ingredient to make healthy dishes
-Free yoga classes by Balance Yoga & Wellness
-Food, wine, and beer available for purchase
Food Trucks: Crepes a la Carte and La Concinita, will be a the event suing compostable materials to reduce event landfill waste
The public may bring their own refreshments. They are encouraged to bring your food and drinks in reusable and/or recyclable containers to reduce event landfill waste
