Join the Southern Food & Beverage Museum for a demonstration and book signing by Chef Toya Boudy, a New Orleans chef, as she debuts her first cookbook: Cook Like A New Orleanian. In the book Chef Toya recreates 20 classic New Orleans recipes. Her signature dishes like Seafood Gumbo and Oyster Rockefeller Pasta celebrate the rich heritage of the region and its connection to the Gulf Coast. Other recipes like Drunken Cherry Bread Pudding and Cajun Meat Pies stuffed with crawfish show her creative side, as she puts a unique twist on traditional recipes. The program begins at 3:30 PM in the Rouses Culinary Innovation Center by Jenn-Air, samples are first come first serve. Free with museum admission. Admission is free for members. Copies of Cook Like A New Orleanian will be available for purchase.
