Allies

LifeCity Allies are more than members. We mutually support each other in our programming and initiatives and together create greater impact on New Orleans. Each of these organizations brings a unique value to our network and we’re proud to align ourselves alongside them.

New Orleans Chamber of Commerce

The New Orleans Chamber of Commerce partners with LifeCity for our monthly programming, including Green Drinks and our educational workshops, as well as our annual green business competition the “Green Games”.  The Chamber of Commerce is a collection of the people and companies that make New Orleans the most unique city in America. Chamber membership connects you with a network of New Orleanians who are as serious about work as they are about play. The Chamber has exciting new programs in place to support New Orleans businesses and help them take advantage of the benefits of doing business in the city.

Natural Awakening Magazine

Natural Awakening Magazine is also an official partner of the annual Green Games by helping promote the stories of local business leaders who are creating positive social and environmental impact on our community. The magazine’s editorial focus is on local health and sustainable living. The magazine is distributed free to approximately 700 sites, including City Hall in New Orleans, and reaches 65,000 residents throughout Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. Charles, St. John and St. Bernard.

Tulane University

LifeCity is partnering with Tulane University to develop the Impact Economy Un/report, thanks to funding from the Center of Public Service. Tulane students will engage in community-based research with LifeCity, and engage with businesses, consumers, and civil society to simultaneously research and promote the “impact economy”: one that generates true wealth and provides social and environmental benefits for all.

Idea Village

Idea Village LogoLifeCity joined the Idea Village accelerator program several years ago and since then has partnered with them on several initiatives and programs, including the Impact Economy track for New Orleans Entrepreneur Week. Founded in 2000, The Idea Village is an independent 501c3 nonprofit organization with a mission to identify, support, and retain entrepreneurial talent in New Orleans.
