LifeCity, Natural Awakenings Magazine, and the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, have partnered for the second year to bring you an unforgettable celebration of the people, businesses and non-profits setting the standard for what is Green in New Orleans. The Green Natties: 2nd Annual Sustainable Business Awards Ceremony is the culmination of the Green Games, a 6 month-long competition where organizations set sustainability goals and measure their progress over time.  Participants are asked to implement initiatives that improve their social and environmental impacts, contributing to the growing Impact Economy in New Orleans. On the eve of Thursday, May 30th we will meet the contenders and celebrate those deserving of the coveted Green Natties Awards.  A carefully selected group of government, non-profit, and business professionals will select the winners for a total of 18 awards given out. To wet your whistles and get you excited for this oh-so happening affair, read on to find out what exactly makes the Natties just oh-so unforgettable… EIFFEL SOCIETY We return to the Eiffel Society for the 2nd year, a truly unique piece of New Orleans.  Whether your first or tenth time at this venue, every event at the Eiffel Society reaches a level of elegance and glamor that can only really be captured by a structure made from the Eiffel Tower itself! With a little help from Strike It Green, we are putting a green spin on it. LIVE MUSIC You’ll be cutting a rug with Frenchmen Street favorites Norbert & Raphaël, the Manouche Musette Duo, as they play you their beloved French waltzes and jazz. Their music will make you feel that your at once strolling along the Seine in Paris, while sitting in a hot music club in downtown New Orleans. CULINARY TREATS Bring your appetites as we are serving up culinary treats from your favorite local eateries that specialize in or aspire to provide local, sustainably harvested food. Café Carmo, La Divina Gelateria, and Mona’s are among the local restaurants and cafes donating their most popular, delicious dishes. GREEN COCKTAIL And what better way to celebrate sustainability, than by toasting with a green libation made especially for the Natties. With each ticket, expect a complimentary expertly crafted cocktail made from local ingredients and Old New Orleans Rum. A full service bar will also be available. SILENT AUCTION Any Green Natties attendee should expect to drink, eat and spend well! We have a growing collection of silent auction items courtesy of LifeCity Business Members, local non-profits, and conscious businesses.
